Orthopedic massage is targeted soft tissue work for injuries and pain conditions. This treatment addresses the entire kinetic chain and is designed to resolve chronic and acute pain conditions and range of motion limitations caused by injury, joint dysfunction, nerve conditions, and scar tissue. During an orthopedic treatment your therapist will work on specific areas of the body to release the fascia, tight muscles, pinched nerves and articular ligaments to ensure proper mechanics and joint function. Orthopedic massage is best deployed as a non-surgical intervention to injuries, as an adjunct to physical therapy, or as part of a post-surgerical recovery and rehabilitation routine.
Note: This service is a treatment for injuries–it is not a full-body massage, however the entire body will be assessed in terms of function. For a full-body massage, see sports massage.
Cupping is included at no additional charge with this service.
